Type 8.8 is a one-bedroom flat on the 8th floor. Due to the position of the corridor at the eastern end, which leaves a larger area for flats at this end of the crescent, this flat is slightly longer than flats on the western side of the crescent. The extra space allowed for a single bedroom to be placed at the corridor end of the flat. Next comes the bathroom off the entrance hall. Then, as with more standard studio flats, the flat opens into the living area. The living area is a rectangle which includes the kitchen. At the Sculpture Court end is a living area (which the developers also designated as a dining area).
Type 8.8 is almost identical to the Type 7.8 flat on the 7th floor.
