Use the right estate agents … it can really make all the difference

These are the four firms of estate agents that I would recommend to you if you are selling or letting your flat in the Barbican Estate, or in the surrounding buildings (Heron Tower, Golden Lane Estate, Roman House and Blake Tower). Click their names to see their individual pages.

You should talk to them all and see who you like best. (They are shown in alphabetical order, not order of preference. They are all excellent.)

Aren’t all agents the same? Other agents are just as good … but only on their specialist area of London. For the Barbican you need a Barbican specialist. One of my recommended agents told me recently about a tower flat sold by an outside agent at £200,000 below market value! That may be extreme – but I am well used to routinely seeing sales at £50,000 below true market value. Why give away even £10,000? If you need your gall bladder removed, you’d go to a gall bladder specialist. If you sell your Barbican flat, use a Barbican specialist. (By the way, everyone within three miles will tell you they are Barbican specialists; these ones actually are.)
