Type 60 is a one-bedroom penthouse flat. Type 60 is a penthouse flat. It provides 1 bedroom and a living room (2 rooms). The flat runs from front to back of the building and so it is only found on the top floors of the north-south-facing terraces fronting the lake.

Type 60 is a variant on the Type 23 layout. But where the Type 23 is a simple rectangular-shaped unit, the Type 60 has an extra alcove in one bedroom wall – big enough for a fitted wardrobe.

There are two Type 60s in Andrewes House, four in Defoe House, and one in Speed House.
