'Piazza', right next to Barbican tube station
Help our local business. Go for a coffee and a bite to eat at the excellent Piazza run by Franco Vetrano, one of the big characters of the Barbican area.

Well worth a visit ... and another visit ... and etc. All the charm and friendliness you expect from an Italian restaurant, but with an interesting cuisine specifically from the Puglia region.

My all time favourite local restaurant. Most of the staff are personal friends. The fabulous food ... the lovely ambience ... they waft you away to France without the need to self-isolate afterwards.

I am so skeptical of art galleries. But this one consistently displays substantial and interesting work I actually admire. It is owned by a Barbican resident. Displays constantly change. You will certainly find something which will enhance your flat and give you pleasure. (It is worth a visit just to appreciate how cleverly the walls unfold into yet more walls like a Chinese puzzle.)
