Type F1D is the standard studio flat type in Bryer Court. There are 40 Type F1D studio flats on the 1st to the 5th floors of Bryer Court.
The entrances to the flats are off a corridor at the back of the building. So the flats all face west onto the garden square. The entrance is straight into the kitchen with a bathroom on one side. Ahead there is a decent-sized living room and bedroom at the window end.
Unlike studios in John Trundle Court or Breton House, the kitchen is separate from the living room. The bathrooms are also different – there is a window which provides natural light. There is wardrobe space built into the bathroom, but it is quite tight.
The main living room is west facing and it’s a good square shape. The living room is not as big as the living room in a John Trundle Court or Breton House studio because of the separate kitchen area being treated separately. (The kitchen forms part of the living room area in those buildings.)
