Students & Researchers

I often get requests from architecture students and researchers asking me where they can find more material about the Barbican development. I don’t personally have anything more than what I have already put up on this site.

There are three main sources I can recommend to you for research:

  • The London Archives. This is where you will find box loads of original material.
  • The Guildhall Library. There are a few books here that may help you.
  • Barbican Library. They have a special collection of books and journals on Barbican history under lock and key.

Sorry! I have nothing more to offer. I am afraid I don’t have time to reply to individual requests. However, you may find these books and articles helpful.
