These are plans from Chamberlin Powell and Bon’s 1959 report to the City Corporation showing the layout of the proposed tower flats.

This is the proposed layout for flats in Lauderdale Tower (Block I). Top and bottom left: three-bedroom flats. Bedroom 3 has storage cupboards designed to allow the two beds to be pushed underneath them during the daytime to convert it to a study. Right: four-bedroom flat with a separate shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have storage cupboards where beds can be concealed to create a study.

This shows the podium level entrance for Lauderdale Tower (Block I) with a porter's room and WC, and storage space, and not much else.

This is the proposed layout for flats in Cromwell Tower (Block III). The layout mirrors the flats in Lauderdale Tower. (In other words, they are reversed.).

This is the proposed layout for flats in Shakespeare Tower (Block II). The layout and flats are similar to Cromwell Tower.
