Type 2B is a three-bedroom Barbican flat type for many flats on the upper floors of Cromwell Tower and Lauderdale Tower in the Barbican Estate. Types 1A, 1B and 1C are the most frequently encountered flat types in these two blocks, but mainly on the lower floors. Type 2B flats appear on 3 floors of Cromwell Tower and 6 floors of Lauderdale Tower.

Type 2B flats have a living room, a dining room, 3 bedrooms, (4/5 rooms), a kitchen, a utility room, a bathroom with WC, and a shower room with WC.

Type 2B has an enlarged living room formed by combining the living room with the fourth bedroom of the Type 1B layout.

In Cromwell Tower, the  ‘2B’ flats have rooms along the north-east-facing side, and balconies looking west. In Lauderdale Tower they have rooms along the north-facing side, and balconies looking east.
