Type 19s are end-of-terrace, two bedroom, flats in Andrewes, Speed and Thomas More Houses – blocks which face north and south, with flats running from front to back. The layout which brackets the right hand end of the terrace (looking from the gardens or lake) is a standard Type 19. The flat at the other end is a mirror version, called Type 19H.

The Type 19 has two bedrooms, a living room and a study (4 rooms).

There are 12 Type 19 flats in Andrewes House, 12 in Thomas More House, and 6 in Speed House. In other words, there is a Type 19 flat at each end of the floor for 6 floors – except Speed House where they are at only one end.
