Island Suite Type 2

Island Suite Type 2 is a type of flat next to the lifts on most floors. (There is no Island Suite Type 1!) It is a studio flat and, when not in use, the bed folds away to create a dining area.

These flats have views eastwards, overlooking Moor Lane. There are no balconies on that side of The Heron, so an Island Suite does not have a balcony you can go out on. It does however have a ‘Juliet’ balcony – a balcony you can lean on.

The living area is at the end of the flat with virtually wall-to-wall windows, and a “media unit” on one wall. The kitchen area is an ‘island’ in the middle of the flat between the living area and the bedroom / dining area.
Bedroom / dining area
2.74 m x 3.49 m
The bedroom/dining area is open on both sides.. It contains a pull-down bed, which is stored against the wall shared with the bathroom. There is some cupboard space on either side. There is a wall behind the bed, separating the space from the bathroom. The ‘wall’ at the foot of the bed is the kitchen ‘island’..
Bathroom The bathroom is accessed from the bedroom / dining area, not from the entrance hall as it is in galley flats. It contains a shower, WC and a basin.
Utility area There is a washer dryer and cupboards in the entrance area, backing onto the bathroom.
