This is my sales pitch, because if you're buying or selling, we would like to act for you.

I have written this site as a Barbican enthusiast – I have lived here myself for over 20 years. And my firm, Barretts Solicitors, has handled hundreds of Barbican transactions over the years. I have also written a book on Buying in the Barbican Estate.

We know a lot about the Barbican - you probably realise that from reading this site. And the Barbican is one place where detailed local knowledge really does matter. The lease, the service charges, the rules about alterations, the complicated split between private and public areas, these all make the Barbican different from any other development in London.

Even the temperature is different - the Barbican is (usually) about 2 degrees warmer than London. I can't tell you why that is, but we can answer all the other questions which can come up when you buy a home here.
