Type 49 is the layout of a single sub-Podium flat in Defoe House. You wouldn't quite call it a garden flat because it is high up, with relatively small windows onto the overgrown path between Defoe House and Thomas More Garden, and has no access to the garden. The living room takes up the whole of the front and there's a single bedroom at the back with a small window on the side (which suggests it must be right at the Barbican Centre end of Defoe House).
