Type 39 is the south-west corner flat of Gilbert and Seddon Houses, on each of the floors except the second floor (which has a seemingly identical Type 41). As a corner flat, the Type 39 has windows on the side and end walls. It has two bedrooms, a living room and a study, crowding the side window walls, with a dining area on the return or end wall, giving 5 rooms in all.
