The different types of houses in Wallside

The doors on Wallside Highwalk are very much back doors. The main windows are rectangular but the stairways have large lozenge-shaped windows extending up 2 floors, which match the arches of the entrance lobbies.

The houses are built with split-level floors. A central staircase divides the floors. The houses can be entered at two levels. The front doors of the houses are in Monkwell Square at road level. The houses have integral garages and arched entrance lobbies next to them and a store room at the back. There are stairs up from there. Alternatively, there are conventional doors off Wallside Highwalk. These are very much back doors. Here there is a hall, off which there is a cloakroom, a bathroom, and one bedroom. A half-flight of stairs leads to the living room, and a further half-flight to the dining room and kitchen. Another half-flight leads to a bedroom and a second bathroom and separate WC. A final half-flight goes up to 2 further bedrooms at the back. From there, there is access to a roof terrace.
